Embark on "The Quest to Summit," an enthralling scavenger hunt designed to challenge your skills and knowledge in the ICS/OT cybersecurity realm. This unique adventure for ICS Security Summit registrants is composed of 3 distinct quests for participants to complete prior to the start of Summit, each presenting a series of questions that participants must solve to advance. The journey unfolds as follows:
- Quest 1: Launches on Tuesday, March 18. Begin your expedition online, utilizing SANS resources to unravel the mysteries posed.
- Quest 2: Opens on Monday, April 14. Continue your online quest, diving deeper into work products from an ICS Industry Leader, searching for answers to the challenges.
- Quest 3: Open on Friday, May 16. Conclude the online portion of The Quest to Summit by mastering the final set of online challenges, using SANS resources to guide you.
- Quests 1-3 will close on Saturday, May 31, 11:30 p.m. EDT (UTC-4)
- Leaders Announcement: On Sunday, June 1, the Top Place Winners for Quests 1-3 will be announced, and big prizes will be awarded (see prize details below)!
But wait, there’s more...
- The Final Quest: the final quest will be available for in-person Summit attendees only. This mighty quest, with grand prizes to be claimed, unlocks on Sunday, June 15 and closes Tuesday, June 17 at 12am. This ultimate challenge will test your skills in a real-world setting (Disney World!), pushing you to the limits of your knowledge and resourcefulness.

This quest is built to be fun and highlight Industry resources as well as SANS resources, and drive interaction with the SANS ICS Security Instructor core. This is not designed to be a technical CTF.
